Privacy policy
Last updated: 4 November 2026
This policy describes what Calendar to Timesheet ("we") does with data when you use this website. It is written to match how the site's code actually works.
Your calendar files are not uploaded
When you choose or drop a .zip or .ics file, it is read by JavaScript running in your browser and processed in a background worker in the same tab. The file, its contents, event titles, times, client names, keywords, rates, and the timesheets you create are never sent to us or to any third party. PDF and CSV files are generated in your browser and saved directly to your device. When you close or reload the tab, the calendar data is gone.
What is stored in your browser
We use your browser's local storage, which stays on your device. We do not set cookies.
- License details, only after you activate Pro: your license key, the activation ID returned by Polar, a masked version of the key for display, the expiry date if there is one, the time of the last successful check, and whether it is a test or live license.
- Saved settings, only if you have Pro and click "Save settings": client names, title keywords, hourly rates, currency, rounding, the all-day setting, your name or business name, your footer choice, and your logo image.
You can remove these at any time with "Remove from this browser" in the license window, "Forget saved settings" in the tool, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.
License checks send only license details to Polar
Pro licenses are issued and checked by Polar. When you activate a key, and each time you open a page while Pro is active, your browser sends a request directly to sandbox-api.polar.sh containing only:
- your license key,
- our Polar organization ID,
- the activation ID (for checks after activation), and
- the fixed label "Calendar to Timesheet browser" (when activating).
No calendar data is included. As with any web request, Polar can see your IP address and browser type. SeePolar's privacy policy.
Payments
When you click "Buy Pro" you go to a checkout page hosted by Polar, which acts as the merchant of record and processes your payment. We do not see or store your card details. Polar shares order details with us, such as your email address, name, billing country, and subscription status, so we can provide the license and support.
Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies. It records page views (the page address without query strings or fragments, the page title, the referring site, browser type, screen size, language and approximate country) and these events, with no extra details attached: file parsed successfully, PDF generated, CSV generated, Pro offer viewed, checkout clicked, and license activated. It never receives calendar titles, client names, rates, file names, event counts, license keys or event contents. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, Umami does not record your visit.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver the pages and protect the service. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
If you email support, we use your message and email address only to reply and keep a record of the conversation.
Your rights and contact
Because calendar data never reaches us, we have nothing to delete there. For payment and subscription data, or any privacy question, contact [email protected].
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
